The following are images from various places I walked to while in Munich.
The area I stayed in was just west of the main city center (across from the train
station), so I was within walking distance of most of the cool stuff.

This image is of the main Catholic cathedral in Munich called "Frauenkirche". It's one of the main buildings that wasn't bombed badly in World War 2. The twin "onion" towers are one of the main landmarks for the city. And no, the towers aren't really curved like that - this one's assembled from multiple images and the program was a bit confused about the changes in scaling in the various shots...

Being a good little tourist, I had to visit the Hofbrau house for a bit of barley-pop goodness. This picture was my booth complete with wall painting and the customary 1 liter! stein.

This one is a picture of the interior courtyard of the "Neues Rathaus" (new courthouse). This one was built in the mid-1800's and was heavily bombed in WW2 but rebuilt. On the other side of the tower in the center (not in this picture) is the...

...Glockenspiel, a clock tower complete with an animatronic music show that happens twice a day (three times in the summer). There are 2 different scenes depicted from German history, but I can't seem to remember exactly what they are. :-)

This one's a panorama shot of the courtyard outside the "Residenz", which was the Munich home for the various kings of Bavaria. Inside are 2 different museums, 1 for the various crown jewels, and one of the residence itself.

One of the coolest parts of the residence was this room which was done almost completely in marble and had busts of all the various emperors of Rome and their families.
